How do I know if the class I am enrolling in will count towards my deficiency?

If you are enrolling in college coursework and would like to know if the class will count towards fulfilling your deficiency, follow the steps below:

First, check The Illinois State Board of Educations (ISBE) Approved Coursework list: https://www.isbe.net/Pages/Licensure-Approved-Coursework.aspx. Coursework on this list has already been approved by ISBE.

If you do not see the course on the list of approved coursework, you may submit a request for pre-approval 80-07 for up to 3 classes. ISBE will confirm whether or not they will accept the course(s). Please follow the instructions on the form. Skip section II - Re-Evaluation of Coursework. You may submit the completed form and official course descriptions to licensure@kaneroe.org for faster processing.
