We have made lots of changes to the IARSS HLS website this past summer. Below is a summary of some of the big changes.
New Look
The site has been reformed and now has a more modern layout. All the same content is there it is just laid out differently. This new layout is more iPad friendly.
FAQ and Support Site
We have rolled out a new FAQ and support page. You can access it by clicking on help in the top right corner when signed in. From there you can use the support widget in the bottom right corner or click the button to access the support portal.
Updated User Privileges
The user privileges have been renamed to more represent what they are for. Also, some pages not have restrictions where you have to have a certain user privilege to access certain things.
District Level Facility Managers
User the district management section there is a new section called district level facility managers. This section was created so you do not need to add district level facility managers to each building one by one. Users added in this section will be assigned as a facility managers for every building. They will not show up under individual schools but when you send an email it will also send to them.
Fire Department
A new section to the manage facilities section is the ability to link fire departments to a building. This has multiple positives. First if the fire department has a staff turnover you don't have to go update every building one by one that the department oversees. Second you are now able to add unlimited amounts of fire department contacts. In the past you were limited to one person. Fire departments can be managed by clicking the manage fire department button from the dashboard. Fire departments can be linked to a facility within the edit a facility section.
User Tranning Dates
Under users profiles initial and veteran tranning that a user attended will be listed. User will not be able to edit this data and it will be added from the sign in sheet.
Locked Completed Inspections
Completed inspection are now auto locked and can't be unlocked as they are locked for historical purposes.
Ability to attach multiple files in the inspection emails
By popular request when sending inspection emails you are now able to attach multiple attachments. In the past you could only attach one.
Inspection Dashboard
There is now an inspection dashboard available that lets you see facilities across all your districts without having to open each district one by one. There is a button on the homepage to access the inspection dashabord.
District User's now login to the system
District Superintendents, Principals and faculty managers (both district level and school level) can now login to the HLS system at the same portal as ROE staff do. They will be able to review past inspection and respond to open inspection from their dashboard. Also when schools are responding to an inspection using the special link in their email they will be required to login so we can verify who is really giving the response.
