If you satisfy one of the points below, you are qualified to be a substitute teacher. You do not need to hold a substitute teaching license if one of the following pertains to you:
- a valid professional educator license (PEL),
- a valid educator license with stipulations
- a valid paraprofessional license and a bachelor's degree
